LW NICK PAUL BIRTHPLACE/AGE: Mississauga, Ont./31 ACQUIRED: Trade from Tampa Bay on July 1 for goalie Dennis Hildeby, a 2027 fourth-round pick and third-rounder in 2028. SALARY: Has three years to run on a previous deal that pays $3.1 million in AAV.

STAT SHEET: Injuries last season kept him from a third straight run of 20-plus goals

Has 10 playoff goals in 45 games. THE SKINNY: Elated to be playing in his own backyard, after causing the Leafs some previous post-season pain.

C COLTON SISSONS BIRTHPLACE/AGE: North Vancouver, B.C./Turns 33 in November ACQUIRED: Free agent signed on July 1, most recently with the Vegas Golden Knights. SALARY: Two years at $8.5 million, a $4.25 million AAV.

STAT SHEET: Has played 756 NHL games (101 goals) and a further 93 playoff appearances. THE SKINNY: Part of Chayka’s major re-vamp of Toronto’s bottom-six forwards with purpose-built checkers.

C TEDDY BLUEGER BIRTHPLACE/AGE: Riga, Latvia/32 ACQUIRED: Free agent signed on July 1, most recently with Vancouver Canucks, 2023-26. SALARY: Two years, $5 million, with a $2.5 million AAV.

STAT SHEET: Tied his career high of nine goals last season despite playing just 35 games. Before missing the playoffs the past two seasons, made it in 37 post-season appearances with Pittsburgh and 2023 Stanley Cup champion Vegas.

THE SKINNY: As a centre and a left-shot winger, will likely see some penalty-killing duties. RW BRANDON DUHAIME BIRTHPLACE/AGE: Coral Springs, Fla./29 ACQUIRED: Free agent signed on July 1, most recently with the Washington Capitals, 2024-26.

SALARY: Three years, $7.8 million, an AAV of $2.6 million. STAT SHEET: Has not missed a regular-season game in two seasons.

Four playoff goals in his past 21 games with Colorado and the Capitals. THE SKINNY: Can play both wings, physical penalty-kill addition.

RW ZACK MACEWEN BIRTHPLACE/AGE: Charlottetown, PEI/30 ACQUIRED: Free agent, most recently with the New Jersey Devils. SALARY: Two years, $1.75 million, an AAV of $875,000.

STAT SHEET: Has experience of 240 games with five teams, but not a full season since 2020-21 with the Flyers and only three last year after a knee injury. THE SKINNY: At 6-foot-4, he’s biggest of the newcomers, but it will be tough to earn a full-time role with so many like-minded additions and a few Marlies trying to move up.
