Mandatory Credit: Joe Nicholson-Imagn Images The Red Wings face off against the Vancouver Canucks tonight in the second matchup of a four game road trip that started with Tuesday night’s loss to the Seattle Kraken.

Alex DeBrincat and the rest of the Red Wings will be looking to get back into the win column against a rebuilding Canucks squad that is 2-8-1 so far on the year. Joining them will be top prospect netminder Michal Postava, who was called up from the Grand Rapids Griffins last night.

The team will hopefully have packed some warm clothes for the trip, with their next games scheduled against the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers. In the meanwhile, Dylan Larkin‘s preferred trade list has expanded once more as the former captain looks to find his new home.

The Red Wings are safe from having to face off against him anytime in the next week, with no Canadian teams purportedly on the list of acceptable destinations for the center. Still, according to former general manager and senior vice president of the Red Wings Jim Devellano, the team is making efforts to amend the relationship.

Whether or not that will pan out seems to be a foregone conclusion at this point with Larkin now willing to go to one of ten teams instead of one of three. Attracting bidders, and getting the Red Wings brass to actually accept a trade will still be another matter entirely.

In the meanwhile, the Red Wings will have to make do with what they have and play Larkin for the foreseeable future. With defenseman Simon Edvinsson still unsigned, the Red Wings have a lot on their plate as they make their way back to Detroit.
