We’re still just under a month away from having full time, regular season hockey back on our television screens., but the first drips and drabs of news for the upcoming year are starting to filter through as the lower levels of hockey resume activities.
Prospects like Eddie Genborg (44th, 2025) in the SHL and Adam Levac (108th, 2026) in the OHL have played their first preseason games already and are getting their legs back under them. Meanwhile in the NHL, players have been spotted

Feisty Red Wings winger Alex DeBrincat is a well known and avid golf lover, with the Michigan-born forward spotted frequently with his clubs in hand if he doesn’t have his skates on. (Though we’re sure if he could figure out a way to marry the two sports he would.)
In any case, the 28-year-old father of two has clearly been making the most of the offseason with his family, sharing the love of his second sport with his two sons this year.
