The Ottawa Senators goalie will be out of the net for a while.
Linus Ullmark has been placed on the injury reserve. In a corresponding move, goaltender Jonas Johansson has been recalled from the Belleville Senators, the team announced on Thursday.
Ullmark is expected to miss one to two weeks, head coach Travis Green told reporters.
Ullmark left Wednesday's game with a lower-body strain after stopping a hard shot from former teammate Brady Tkachuk in the third period.
As the rebound went to an Ottawa defenceman and down to the Florida end, Ullmark hunched over in pain as officials blew the play dead.
After the game, Green told reporters that Ullmark left with a lower-body strain and will be further evaluated on Thursday.
This is the second time this month that the 33-year-old wasn't able to finish a start after leaving early against the Boston Bruins on Oct. 5.
Green said Ullmark"tweaked something a little bit" in that outing against Boston.
Johansson, 31, has 105 games of NHL experience. He played in 25 games for the Tampa Bay Lightning last season and finished with 11 wins.
Ullmark entered Wednesday's game with a 6-1-0 record on the season with a 1.33 goals-against average and .945 save percentage.
