The official Pittsburgh Penguins training camp schedule. The fun begins in seven days, on Thursday, Sept.
17, at the UPMC Lemieux Complex in Cranberry Township. The team has not yet released the camp roster, and there may even be additions or subtractions by then, but the camp will again be segmented into three groups (A, B, and C), with practice beginning at a brisk 8:45 a.m.
One thing to note: based on the schedule, the truncated training means there will only be three days of three-group practices. The first preseason game is four days after camp begins, and the regular season starts 13 days after camp begins, on Sept.
30 in Philadelphia. Cuts could be swift, and some players will not get much of an opportunity to prove themselves, so the first few days could be more intense than usual.
