Pittsburgh Penguins Training Camp It took a few extra days, but the Pittsburgh Penguins released their full training camp roster on Wednesday afternoon. In total, 69 players are coming to camp, including a few notable prospects such as Liam and Markus Ruck and Tommy Galvas.
Galvas, 20, loudly announced his arrival in North America in the last handful of days with a standout performance in the Prospects Tournament. The Rucks were the Penguins’ top two picks in the 2026 NHL Draft.
There are a few injuries to note, as well. Goalie Gabriel D’Aigle, who made his professional debut late last season with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, is on the injured list.
So, too are Rafael Harvey-Pinard and prospect Melvin Fernstrom. The Penguins begin camp Thursday, and their first preseason game is against the Buffalo Sabres Monday at PPG Paints Arena.
The position battles could be intense, as general manager Kyle Dubas has created competition for most of the bottom-six forward spots with as many as 18 forwards for no more than 14 spots. There will also be a goalie battle in camp as Sergei Murashov and Joel Blomqvist compete for the second NHL spot to pair with Arturs Silovs.
