The Boston Bruins are back at Warrior Ice Arena for 2026 training camp.
Pavel Zacha took the ice Thursday for his fifth training camp in a Bruins sweater. The 29-year-old is coming off a career-high 30 goals and 65 points, establishing himself as one of the Bruins’ top options down the middle.
Now, he’s entering the final year of his contract at a $4.75M cap hit.

During Wednesday’s press conference to open training camp, Don Sweeney said he’s had “ongoing communication” with Zacha’s representative regarding an extension, and Zacha confirmed that after practice.
“That’s one of the things that we’ve been talking about. We’ve been talking lately,” Zacha said Thursday.

Zacha and his agent, Paul Capizzano, have let the Bruins’ front office know where they stand, but Zacha’s turning his focus to the ongoing 13-day camp.
“My agent’s been dealing with that. Don knows where we stand, and I just think I’m excited to be in training camp with the guys,” Zacha said.
“I can smile, play hockey, and play on a team that I like to play on, and that’s what it is. It’s out of my control a little bit, but I think I’m excited just to start training camp and get after it.”
