The Seattle Kraken have added over three decades of experience to their front office.
Chuck Fletcher is joining Seattle as the senior advisor to the general manager, the team announced Wednesday.
Fletcher first joined the Florida Panthers during their 1993 expansion, serving as general manager for the Panthers' AHL farm teams in Cincinnati, Louisville and Greensboro until 2001, and as Florida's general manager for 56 games until 2002.
He spent time with the Anaheim Ducks and Pittsburgh Penguins as the assistant general manager, before serving time as the general manager for the Minnesota Wild, New Jersey Devils, and Philadelphia Flyers.
Fletcher is one of 30 NHL general managers to lead their team to 1,000 regular-season games since the 1967 expansion.
The 59-year-old returned to the Devils for a second stint in 2024, this time as a senior adviser.
He wasn't resigned after his contract expired in 2026.
Fletcher will now head over to a Kraken team that finished 13th in the Western Conference with a 35-41-6 record last season.
