Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart exited the team’s Tuesday practice with an apparent injury per Hannah Kirkell of The Hockey News. Head coach Ryan Craig spoke with media, including Kirkell, after the team’s morning skate but had no updates on Hart’s injury – other than to say that he is being evaluated and Adin Hill will start in Tuesday’s game.

It was not clear when Hart sustained his injury. The 28 year old has been off to a shaky start through the 2026-27 season.

He boasts a 4-3-1 record and .889 save percentage through eight games so far. While below where Vegas would like him, Hart’s performances still sit higher than Hill, who has posted a 4-1-0 record and .882 save percentage.

Despite those marks, Vegas ranks 10th-best in the NHL in goals-against per-game (2.92). The Golden Knights will hope Hill can fortify that standing against a Senators team averaging three goals-per-game this season.

If Hart misses extended time, the Golden Knights would likely recall Carl Lindbom from the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights. Lindbom has posted a 2-1-0 record and .940 save percentage in four games this season.
