The 18-year-old finished with 39 saves as the Leafs defence, loose at times, allowed several good scoring chances. With the annual rookie tournament done, full attention turns to main Leafs camp, which gets underway on Wednesday.
On-ice sessions begin on Thursday, just two days before the Leafs and Montreal Canadiens play a pair of pre-season split-squad games in Toronto and Montreal. First, though, Leafs players, staff, alumni and guests will tee off on Monday at the club’s annual golf charity classic at RattleSnake Point Golf Club in Milton.
