The Calgary Flames will be without Devin Cooley for a while.

The team placed the goaltender on injured reserve Friday with a lower-body injury after he was forced to exit Wednesday's game against the Edmonton Oilers.

Head coach Ryan Huska told reporters that Cooley will be week-to-week.

Oilers forward Colton Dach crashed into Cooley with 12 seconds remaining in the opening 20 minutes and received a two-minute penalty for goaltender interference.

Cooley remained in for the final 12 seconds but was not on the bench to start the second. He was then ruled out for the remainder of the game with a lower-body injury, the team announced.

The 29-year-old had allowed just six goals on 133 shots over his previous four games entering Wednesday's game, good for a .955 save percentage.

With Cooley out, Dustin Wolf is set to start the Flames' game against the Seattle Kraken Friday night (Sportsnet West, Sportsnet+, 8 p.m. ET / 6 p.m.

MT). It will mark his first start since Oct.

15.

Meanwhile, Arsenii Sergeev will serve as Wolf's backup after being recalled from the AHL's Calgary Wranglers.

Forward William Stromgren was also recalled Friday from the Wranglers.

In other injury news, Huska said Brennan Othmann is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, while Connor Zary has undergone knee surgery and is now considered week-to-week.
