We’re three weeks from the start of the season, and the Boston Bruins are starting to gather at Warrior Ice Arena.
The Bruins take to the ice today and Thursday for captains’ practices. Tomorrow is the Bruins Foundation’s golf tournament, and Friday starts rookie camp.
There’s also a surplus of NHL-capable defensemen heading into camp on the 16th, and one has been drawing interest

MASON LOHREI: Jimmy Murphy of RG reported that teams are calling on Mason Lohrei. The 25-year-old left-shot defenseman is entering the final year of his contract and was the subject of trade talk in January when the Bruins pursued Rasmus Andersson.
Now that the Bruins have a plethora of NHL-capable defensemen, teams are interested to see which one may be the odd one out.
CAPTAINS’ PRACTICE: The Bruins will hit the ice for captains’ practice today and Thursday. Both skates are at 10:00 AM at Warrior Ice Arena, and admission is free to the public.
Members of the team, coaching staff, and alumni will be in Plymouth tomorrow for the 23rd annual Boston Bruins Foundation Golf Tournament.
Rookie camp opens at 10:15 AM Friday.
Fan Fest is also this weekend! Both days run from 11 AM to 2 PM.
