The NHL offseason has been quiet for a while now, but there was a decent amount of news in the cycle yesterday.
A lot of extension talk fills today’s Daily, including some regarding a young Boston Bruins forward. Fraser Minten has been eligible for an extension since the beginning of the month, and while the Bruins do not need to rush to a deal, they have less than two months until they lose the option for an eighth year, and they risk the market continuing to skyrocket.
In other extension talk, Bill Guerin is headed to Michigan to meet with Minnesota’s star defenseman. Tampa Bay is looking to extend the Hart Trophy winner, and the Senators may be in for a big payday with one of their breakout forwards.
