It’s August. We’re in the deserted parts of the NHL offseason, and we have 58 days to wait until opening night.
The Boston Bruins’ front office changes concluded yesterday with Evan Gold’s departure. The team announced new front office hires in July, and with that was Gold’s pending departure. He left the organization yesterday, and while he was a finalist for open GM spots this summer, his landing spot has been reported.

EVAN GOLD: Evan Gold’s tenure in Boston is over. The team made the announcement in July, but the departure became official Saturday. The Bruins said the long-tenured AGM was let go to “pursue other opportunities” in the league, and his next landing spot has already been reported.
The Bruins hired Gold in 2015, promoted him to assistant general manager in 2019, and named him Providence GM in March 2023.
