The Montreal Canadiens have locked up another young forward to a new deal.

Zachary Bolduc signed a four-year, $16.8-million deal. Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Sunday.

Bolduc will carry a $4.2 million cap hit coming off his entry-level contract.

Bolduc had 12 goals and 18 assists in 78 regular-season games in 2025-26. He also led all Montreal forwards with 170 hits, ranking second on the team behind defenceman Arber Xhekaj.

The 23-year-old from Trois-Rivières, Que., also dressed for the team’s 19 playoff games, producing seven points (three goals, four assists) and being second on the team with 47 hits.

Montreal acquired Bolduc from the St. Louis Blues for defenceman Logan Mailloux back on July 1, 2025.

Bolduc was a first-round pick (17th overall) by the Blues in the 2021 NHL draft. He has 75 points (36 goals, 39 assists) in 175 career games across three seasons between St. Louis and Montreal.
