Less than a day after Chicago Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson revealed to the sports world that there was an open offer on the table for star winger Patrick Kane to return to Chicago, Showtime is back on in the Windy City, according to insider Elliotte Friedman.
Chicago’s 2007 no. 1 pick, Kane spent the majority of his career in Chicago with the Blackhawks, winning three Stanley Cups with the franchise between 2009 and 2015.
Kane will join another Blackhawks no. 1 overall pick, Connor Bedard, in the coming campaign for Chicago. Bedard had made his case for Kane’s return earlier this week after signing a 15 million dollar AAV contract extension.
