You may not have ever heard of Andre Pronovost, largely because he was overshadowed by the conga line of Hall of Famers he played with on the Montreal Canadiens.
But of the 30 players who were part of the Canadiens dynasty of the late 1950s, Pronovost was the last surviving member of that group before his recent death.
Pronovost won four Stanley Cups with the Canadiens, all of them coming in his first four years in the NHL. He was an industrious and unspectacular center who did his job with limited ice time, while the superstars the Canadiens had scored all the goals and received much of the glory.
There's another thing you should know about Pronovost. He comes from one of the most prolific hockey families in NHL history.
